Dr Parrot/Peat

A freshly emerged officially Dr Lydia ES Cole from the Sheldonian, Oxford, after the relatively brief (sub 2 hours) graduation ceremony last weekend.  It was an honour to walk into a full, clapping theatre, in line with the other DPhil parrots, and shake the Vice Chancellor's hand.  I got a beaming smile from him too.  I would have kept the costume to use as a dressing gown, had I £300 to spare.

And the day ended with scones and tea, with a nearly entire family.  Special.

I guess I should change the name of this blog now then.  Watch that space.
