A few bits and bobs.

Before I go to bed (not that I'm quite done with my faffing for the night - my Lent resolution of not playing with the fairies (a Cole family euphemism for staying up too late) has almost completely failed) I just wanted to express my gratitude for a few important things in my life at the moment.

1. Jimmy, my ukelele. He's always smiling, somehow - a bit like Gettie, and almost as easy to carry around. He also wins smiles most places he goes. Thanks, Jimmy.

2. My legs. They carried my relatively unfit heart and many other unfit muscles, around the New Forest for 20 miles on Sunday. They complained a little, and aren't so happy with me now, but they did it. Thanks, legs. I'll be gentler to you one day.

3. The Oxford Ceilidh Band. Mostly for being friendly and fun and letting me join in with my slow fingers and wrong notes. Thanks eclectic bunch of folkies.

4. Marshmallows. Again, a failed Lent resolution. (I feel bad about this one, but thought they still deserved thanks. I think Lou would also want to give thanks at this point.)

5. And so many other things ({brief sentimental interlude - including the best family and best woolly slippers in the world})....and I've not even used our new ice-cream making machine yet! (Think that might make the top 5 when the cream hits the churner.)

Right, bed time for bozoes. Good night fairies.
